Whether you're starting skating lessons, joining your friends for pickup hockey, or even going for a casual skate, the Bauer X series skates are the perfect option for beginners. The Bauer X skate takes its design inspiration from the ever-popular Vapor skate family. This recreational skates uses an easy to use and flex boot with more blade touching the ice to help you learn how to play and start building confidence with every stride.

Skate Fit Profile

The Bauer Vapor X Intermediate Senior Hockey Skates come in sizes 4-6 (full & half) and in skate widths: Standard "D" and Wide "EE". When deciding on a skate size, a good rule of thumb is to take the player's shoe size and drop it by 1 or 1.5 sizes.

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile

The Digi Comp boot keeps the skates' performance competitive without being overly bulky and difficult to skate in. To provide a more traditional appearance and feel at the ankle, the Vapor X series skate has standard symmetrical flex facing along the eyelets.

Liner & Internal Padding

In the Vapor X Series line, padded implemented a sublimated hydrophobic microfiber liner along the inside of the skate, designed to wick away moisture and repel odor while you play. Including this kind of liner ensures that you stay comfortable in your skates all game long without the potential distraction of a wet boot. The internal padding is made of lightweight memory foam to further increase comfort when wearing the boot.

Tongue

The Bauer X series skate features a comfort felt tongue. This is a softer tongue construction that allows for more forward flex when leaning into your stride, but it also provides an additional level of comfort.

Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile

To hold the blade in place, the X series skate uses the LS Pro II holder, which is a solid and reliable holder that will keep your blade in place. For steel, this skate uses the LS Pro II steel.
